  • The Battle of Lexington
  • Victory at Yorktown
  • Declaration of Independence 
  • The Battle of Lexington was the first battle of the Revolutionary War.  No one knows who fired the first shot and there are many stories on each side saying that their side did not  shoot first. The colonists lost this battle but it showed that the colonists had a chance.
  • The Battle of Yorktown was the final battle of the Revolutionary war.  It was the place were the British general Thomas Gates surrendered to the colonists.
  • After the revolutionary war the delegates of the congress met in a room to sign the Declaration of Independence. The Declaration of Independence declared that the U.S was free from Britain.
