About three years ago, I was on my way to summer camp. It was a Tuesday which meant it was swimming day. Even though we went swimming every tuesday, today I wanted to pass my swimming test.
I wanted and tried to pass every Tuesday but I never did. I made sure all throughout summer and before camp that I practiced really hard. Right when I arrived at summer camp, I felt confident in myself.
All the kids and I boarded the bus to head to the pool. As the bus got closer and closer I started getting less confident and getting nervous.
We arrived at the pool and the lifeguard asked for anyone who wanted to complete their swimming test to line up. Me and a few other people that went to my camp lined up and prepared for our test.
When it was at my turn in line, I took a deep breathe in and started to swim. I swam to the opposite end of the pool and back, treaded water, and jumped in!
This meant that I passed my test and I was so proud of myself. I realized that all it took was practice and I stressed myself out for no reason. Now, I love to swim and I've been on a swim team.
