Storyboard Text

  • In a small town in New York, the rate of strays was extremely high. The dogs played, the cats roamed, the birds flew, and the lizards crawled. They rarely approach people, but they never attack or chase people. Some of the animals were even adopted off the streets. The townspeople  had no problem with the animals, but the people coming from out of state, thought that the animals were a nuisance.
  • One night, some of the visitors decided they wanted the animals gone. They grouped together one night and made a plan that would make sure the animals would be "taken care" of. The decided that their plan was the only way to get rid of the filthy strays. It just so happens that there was a woman walking by the little meeting as they discussed their plan. She stopped and listened as the plan was created and relayed the information to the others.
  • After working out the details of the plan, they decided to put their plan into action and make it look like the animals were attacking one of the group members. After that, they would go to the mayor and order that all the animals be taken off the streets and dealt with. The "victim" had a bag of hotdogs and a small packet of ketchup. He opened the bag and as expected, two dogs came at the sound of food. He put the hotdogs in his shirt and the ketchup on him.
  • The dogs went for the hotdogs, and the group members went for help. Their plan was working just as they hoped. They went to the Mayor to tell him of the attack and their demands. The Mayor agreed. He ordered that all the animals without homes be taken of the streets. They would start being removed the next day. As the Mayor made arrangements, he let the townspeople know. The townspeople couldn't just stand by while the town strays were taken, so they made a plan of their own.
  • The next morning, the small group decided to see the results of their plan. They were excited to see the streets free of the "lousy pests". It would have worked too, but to their surprise, when they got there, all the townspeople had adopted the strays and were walking their new friends around! The visitors were enraged that the townspeople interrupted their plan, at which point on the the tourists attacked one of the residents.
  • As soon as the visitor made contact with the resident, her new furry friend stepped into action and snapped at the attacker, scaring her into running away. The rest of the townspeople looked at the remaining tourists, who were shaking of fear now, and they ran along behind their scared "comrade" until they were out of sight. From that day on, the strays would protect their friends and the populations dropped to almost none, but those who were strays were looked after.
