  • He will not make me a joyful bride there.
  • The County Paris, at Saint Peter’s Church, shall happily make thee there a joyful bride.
  • Proud can I never be of what I hate.
  • How, will she none? Doth she not give us thanks?
  • To go with Paris to Saint Peter’s Church, or I will drag thee on a hurdle thither.
  • Out, you green sickness, carrion! Out, you baggage! You tallow face!
  • Lady Capulet announces that Juliet is going to marry Paris. Juliet refuses to do so.
  • Fie, fie! What, are you mad?
  • Capulet is angry as Juliet strongly denies this good marriage.
  • Hang thee, young baggage! Disobedient wretch! I tell thee what: get thee to church o' Thursday or never after look me in the face!
  • He uses harsh words to insult her.
  • Speak not. Reply not. Do not answer me. My fingers itch.
  • Juliet begs for an explanation but Capulet does not listen to her.
  • Good Father, hear me with patience but to speak a word.
  • He continues insulting her directly using words, clearly shows his disgust.
  • He threats of violence.
