Storyboard Text

  • LOL
  • Hey Newbie, I'm Steve. The guy that's better than you
  • Gimme your lunch money or i'll rip your homework
  •
  • Lunch money again or 'you will know' will happen
  •
  • Don't worry. Here's a juice box.
  •
  • It's Alex's first day and a kid introduces himself as Steve. He calls him a newbie. Alex feels alone for the rest of the day. This could lead to depression and a fear of talking to others. This isn't bullying yet because it isn't continuous. The boy on the left isn't helping and just making Alex feel worse.
  • Haha. You're so Gullible. Got ya
  • Good one Jerry
  •
  • Before Alex can get to class, Steve takes Alex's homework. He tells him to give him all his lunch money or he'll rip his homework. Alex gives in. That night, Alex's mom asks him how his day was. Alex responds only saying "good" because he fears he will look bad in front of his parents. Another reason is kids may feel scared to tell them because they think the bully will find out
  • This happened at school...
  • You need to find a friend to help you
  • The next day, Steve approaches Alex and tells him to give him his lunch money or he'll do 'you know what' . This is bullying because now it is continuous . Then a boy named Jerry gives him a juice box.
  • Yeh thanks.
  • Don't worry. He's a jerk
  • L  - L - L - Loser
  • Jerry and Alex get to know each other a bit more but when Alex is about to drink from the juice, Jerry squeezes it spreading juice all over Alex. He then tells him that he is a so gullible. Alex is probably feeling alone and betrayal.  Even though these are only short term effects, they may affect his trust issues when he is older. All this is social bullying because it is trying to make someone look bad around people
  • Eventually Alex tells his dad. This is a good way to cope with bullying as you get feelings out and older people can help.  His dad tells him to find a friend that will help him feel less alone. Alex feels slightly better
  • At class the next morning, Steve is chanting 'Loser'. A kid near him tells him that Steve is a jerk. He introduces himself as Bob. He tells Alex that he must be feeling lonely so he will be his friend.
