  • The prologue tells where the story takes place and what is happening. "Two households both alike in dignity. In fair Verona , where we lay our scene."
  • Climax
  • The Capulets and Montagues feud causes a conflict for the story. The lovers are from one side of the families. "From ancient grudge break to now munity."
  • Falling Action
  • "Romeo Juliet of Verona is dead."
  • Romeo marries Juliet and they have to hide their marriage. Romeo kills Tybalt and gets banished to another city. "Till Holy Church incorporate two in one."
  • Resolution
  • "May our families be at peace."
  • Friar Lawrence and Juliet devise a plan to get Romeo to meet her. As a part of the plan Juliet drinks a poison that makes her appear dead. "Take thou this vial, being then in bed."
  • "Romeo, Romeo, Romeo, to thee I drink."
  • Romeo receives false information of Juliets death, buys a poison, and drinks it next to Juliets body. "Thy drugs are quick. Thus with a kiss I die."
  • Juliet wakes to find Romeo dead, grabs a dagger, and kills herself. The feuding families make peace. "This is thy sheath, there rust, and let me die."
