  • EXPOSITION
  • CONFLICT
  • RISING ACTION
  • The narrator is introduced and he is trying to convince the reader that he is not mad for killing the old man because of his film liked eye. 
  • CLIMAX
  • The narrator described the eye like a vulture's eye. Whenever the narrator saw the old man and his eye he got mad.
  • FALLING ACTION
  • For eight nights the narrator would plot the killing of the old man. Each night he entered the room with a lantern to see the eye.
  • RESOLUTION
  • One evening the old man woke up and the narrator smothers the old man under the bed until the old man can no longer breath.
  • A neighbor heard a screech so they called the police. When the police when inside they started to question the narrator.
  • The narrator finally confessed on killing the old man because he started to hear the old man's heart beating.
  • Boom, Boom, BOOM!!!
