  • Reasons for Reformation
  • Renaissance, renaissance, renaissance...
  • Indulgences
  • Give me your money
  • 95 Theses
  • The reason for the reformation was that, when the church started doing things wrong, people started thinking for themselves especially when the Bible was translated. This is Renaissance thinking and started other churches therefore expanding the different variations of Christianity.
  • Diet of Worms
  • This is the Pope telling a peasant to pay an indulgence to the church so his family can go to heaven. This had nothing to do with the Bible, later discovered by Martin Luther, John Wycliffe, Jan Hus, Desiderus Erasmus, Catherine of Siena, and many more.
  • German Bible
  • Did you see that new Bible? It doesn't even have indulgences in it!
  • This is Martin Luther writing the 95 Theses. He wanted to prove that the church was doing wrong things that had nothing to do with the Bible and that the church was not connected to God. He later showed this to the people, which started a revolt.
  • Peasant Revolt
  • 95 Theses
  • This is Henry V talking to the diet of Worms about how Martin Luther should be punished which got Luther persecuted and later burned 44 years after he died. He hated him so much because he was the main reason for the reformation.
  • This is two peasants talking about the German Bible. This was one of the main reasons for the peasant revolt. People got mad at the Pope for lying to them and started to question if the Pope was connected to God at all.
  • Oh, guuuurrrrllll
  • This is when the peasant revolt started. Martin Luther put up the 95 Theses that stated what the church was doing that didn't have anything to do with the Bible. Later, multiple people translated the Bible to their common language and made the peasant revolt even stronger. The peasants started to not believe the church and start other churches which led to them being persecuted and/or burned to death.
