The story, Rikki-Tikki-Tavi talks about a mongoose and a family, the mongoose saves the family by killing three deadly snakes.
In the beginning Alice and Teddy find Rikki-Tikki washed up on the road by their house. Teddy thought the mongoose was dead, but he was just passed out.
Darzee and his wife got upset because one of their eggs fell and nag and nagaina ate it.
Rikki kills karait because he was a danger to teddy..after he protected him, Alice trusted Rikki to sleep in Teddy's nursery.
Nag and Nagaina want the house to themselves and their babies, so they try to kill the family because if the family is gone then rikki will leave and they will have the garden and house to themselves .
