  • Lafayette was a major part of the American revolution for multiple reasons. The colonists let him help because they knew the more people they had the bigger chance they would have in winning.
  • Lafayette helped out during the war, this was a lot of help because he brought boats and weapons. Also, the only reason why he wanted to help was because Britain and France we not on good terms, so helping the colonists meant that Britain could be defeated.
  • After being injured during the first battle, Lafayette realized that he and the colonists needed more help, so he set off to France to get more French soldiers, ships, and weapons.
  • Lafayette brought back more French soldiers and brought with him more guns and ships.
  • With both the French and the colonies soldiers teaming up, they had a better chance of winning and now that the colonies weren't outnumbered, they were ready to fight and win.
