Example 3: social inequality
Tom Robinson being declared guilty is an example of social inequality. This is an example of social inequality because the only reason Tom was sent to jail is because of the racism in Maycomb. All of the facts of the "crime" were in the favor of Tom Robinson and went to prove that he could not have done something like that, but he was still found guilty .
Mrs. Alexandra calling Walter Cunningham trashy is an example of social inequality because it shows the different classes in Maycomb. The Cunninghams are farm like people who were not as high in the social pyramid as the Finches.
Here is Bob Ewell who lives behind a dump. The Ewell's are less fortunate with little to no money and the bare minimum of an education. The Ewell's would be found at the bottom of the social pyramid because they are poor and in the nicest way possible, gross.
