Poe is trying to sleep but he keeps hearing a tapping noise on the door. But when he opens the door noone is there. Then he becomes really confused and scared. The raven in the one actually making the noises
Nevermore is the word that is repeated a lot that means he is insane. Lenore is repeated it shows the feeling of death and darkness. It makes him wondering if his lover is in heaven.
The tone is sad and dark.The meaning of the words is the poem ends with 'nevermore' it gives you less hope each time you read it
The poem goes through denial anger depression and acceptance. He struggles with grief and he has to either conquer it or accept it
The theme of the poem is death. He talks about the death of his lover. He thinks that he will see Lenore in heaven. He starts to think that he will nevermore see lenore
