Storyboard Text

  • I just don't sleep very well. I do not understand how you sleep like a rock and I wake up every other hour or can't fall asleep in general.
  • Why are you up so early? I thought you didn't work til 9 today?
  • I can not believe you are making this about gender. Gender does not affect all aspects of life like men seem to think. You can sleep on the couch tonight for that comment. Bye.
  • It's probably because your a female. Females always have the most problems.
  • I thought gender actually did affect sleep. I'm going to prove her wrong and make her feel sorry for taking her lack of sleep out on me.
  • Hey Doc. i'm actually not here for me. I need to prove my wife wrong so I dont have to sleep on the couch tonight. So Does gender affect chronic sleep loss?
  • Actually it does. And there are many reasons for that chronic sleep loss has proven to affect women more than men actually have this pamphlet on the topic. I don't think you are going to be sleeping on the couch tonight.
  • Yes. The change in their hormone levels due to things like pregnancy and menopause added onto the stress of their daily life and increased chances of mental illness like depression can really take a toll on a women's sleep cycle.
  • Wow. Menopause, periods, increased stress, anxiety, depression, and pregnancy are all factors that affect women's sleep? This is even better than I thought.
  • What did I tell ya? You don't sleep because your a woman. Looks like I'll be in my normal place in bed tonight!
  • Wow I had no idea. I was wrong to yell at you, but you're still sleeping on the couch tonight.
