  • I, Jiblee Williams, have decided to run for president of the United States in 2016 as the Republican party
  • Caucus Elections
  • Vote Here!
  • National Convention
  • I accept the nomination of my party fro President of the United States.
  • Before you run for president you need to announce your candidacy for the party your running for.
  • The Popular Vote
  • Primaries are mini elections held locally by parties to show which candidate the people prefer. They are important because they decide who the delegates vote for at the national convention.
  • Electocal College
  • Equation for sucess here at the Electoral College: x= 13 (which is the number of votes VA has) x + ( 270+ 268) = 528
  • Welcome to the Electoral College!
  • At the National Convention, delegates vote in order to decide who will appear on the ballot for each party on Election Day. This convention is held in different places each year and is also though of as a huge pep rally.

  • Election Day is when the citizens of the United States vote all over the country in order to decide who will win the electoral votes for their state. This is held on the second Tuesday of November.
  • This is an all or nothing system when a candidate wins a state they win all the electoral votes. Electoral votes depends on congressional representation and in order to win the election the candidate needs to win 270 or more out of a total of 538.
  • This is the day on January 20th where the candidate that won the electoral college officially becomes President of the Unites States and moves into the White House
