  • The Election of 1824
  • Thank you everyone especially my supporters!
  • The president of the United States of America is Andrew Jackson!
  • Jackson Names Calhoun as the Vice President
  • The vice president of the United States is John C. Calhoun!
  • Thank you Mr. President
  • Jackson's Supporters
  • Oh yes, Of course! Andrew Jackson was actually one of us!
  • Grandpa! I want to become someone like Andrew Jackson when I grow up.
  • 4 years after Andrew Jackson lost the election because of Clay, Andrew Jackson comes back and wins the election by a landslide. Also, this time his supporters were the common man from the western states.
  • The Spoils System
  • Today, I will fire many current workers because it is my choice!
  • I heard that if you want to be hired, you actually have to take a test to work here.
  • After John C. Calhoun switched his party to run with Jackson in the election. Andrew Jackson names him the vice president when he becomes the president.
  • How Elections Changed
  • Today in our first national party convention, the caucuses are replaced by the nominating convention!
  • We abandoned the caucuses!!
  • Jackson's supporters were mainly the common man. These people were from the western states. Also, they supported Jackson because he was once a common man.
  • End of Presidency
  • I have done my best for US to be equal. I shall step down from this position and watch how my bills and my work will affect this beautiful country.
  • Jackson introduced the spoils system which means the distribution of civil service jobs to political patrons. Andrew Jackson basically fired everyone that had a job in the government and replaced the fired people with his own supporters.
  • Jackson gave the common a larger say in government by introducing nominating conventions. This meant delegates from the states elected the parties presidential candidate.
  • Jackson's position as a president ended on March 4, 1837 when he finished his two terms.
  • Thank you Mr. President for supporting to lower the tariff and much more!
