  • How Do We Use This Today
  • As John got older, he got married with Elizabeth Stirling. Together, they had a beautiful older daughter (Janet Napier), and a handsome younger son (Francis Napier). They grew up very happy together with their family, and especially with each other.
  • John was a very famous mathematician around his time. Logarithms and modern decimal notations were also introduced by him. Napier also created 4 new kinds of weapons during a scheme called "Spanish Blanks".
  • Today, we use things such as decimal notation to figure out where to put it when you solve an addition, subtraction, multiplication, or division problem. This is a very useful and we see them mostly on things like checks and receipt after you pay for things.
