  • Guys, stop. I’m coming to you live from Mount Cycle as we take you on a special tour of the water cycle! First stop, the ocean, where we can be evaporated!
  • Wassup, my elemental bros?
  • Yes! We get heated up and move through the air, and if we are less dense than the air around us, we rise further up into the sky. Next stop, Condensation Station!
  • So, here we are. The ocean! Either of you know what happens with evaporation?
  • Evaporation is when water molecules get heated up by the Sun’s radiation-
  • And become water vapor!
  • Here we are, Condensation station! In the higher up sky, it’s colder, so water molecules stick to dust, like my bud Dusty.
  • Then the molecules of dust and water join others to make a big, fluffy cloud. Then the molecules of dust and water join others to make a big, fluffy cloud.
  • Hurry, the precipitation is starting and I really want to be there!
  • It’s time to head down to Earth because we’ve grown to heavy to float. Gravity will pull us down and we will become “rain.”
  • Yes, we can go down as rain, snow, hail, or a multitude of things.
  • Precipitation is not fun at all.
  • Some of us don’t have enough energy to get underground, so they flow over the ground into rivers and whatnot.
  • Time for a workout! Now that we’re on Earth, we go into the groundwater or runoff. What happens here?
  • Groundwater Flow
  • Nice, guys! As a matter of fact, those rivers all flow back to the ocean, where we have returned to!
  • Some of us get brought underground by gravity and go into aquifers. Some of us go underground, join the groundwater flow and return to the ocean.
  • Runoff
  • See you at the cloud party!
  • So that’s the water cycle, the life-giving cycle to plants and also “humans.” We hope you enjoyed the tour.
  • From all of us here at Mount Cycle, farewell!
  • Stay wet, everyone!
