  • It's 1763. My name is Jefferson Thomas. I am 63-years-old. I am loyal to King George III. I am a slave from Africa. I was told I would be set free from slavery by King George, if I became a loyalist, supporting Great Britain!
  • 1773 Many African slaves wanted to be free, so they became loyalists, and Great Britain gave them freedom. Slave to Loyalist soldier.
  • I am King George the III. I am helping my colonies find a place to live far across the ocean.
  • My Bristish soldiers called the "Redcoats" or "Lobsterbacks" believed the king had the right to demand taxes from the colonists. One third of the people remained loyal to Great Britain.
  • The patriot said, "Don't throw tea overboard! There were 3 ships!"
  • The tea came from Great Britain. The East India Tea Company stored tea in a loyalist's cellar. Men dressed like Indians stole the tea.
  • The patriots in the 13 colonies didn't like all the taxes they had to pay to Great Britain.
  • Sons of Liberty, Pay your taxes and be loyal to Great Britain, your home country!
  • The patriots were the ones who fought for freedom from Great Britain. Be gone Stamp Act. Sugar Act. Quartering Act. Townshend Act. Coercive Acts!
  • Patriots, I've heard the East India Tea Company is in the Boston Harbor! I've heard rumors of tea getting thrown overboard the ships by colonists disguised as Indians!
  • Sons of Liberty, also known as Patriots. This is now known as The Boston Tea Party.
  • Boston, Massachusetts: At the Boston Tea Party, 347 chests of East India Tea Company were thrown overboard.
