Storyboard Text

  • Mark Johnson, City Manager
  • Warn people to stay indoors, especially in a basement or room with no windows.
  • The tornado has touched down Mark! What should we do?
  • Kirk Flacco, Meteorologist
  • This is Kirk Flacco, your local meteorologist. The tornado has touched down in Howard County! I urge you to stay indoors, preferably in a basement room with no windows. Stay safe!
  • As Kirk warns people about the tornado, Mark hurries downstairs.
  • Okay, I'm in the basement. Now I have to find a room with no windows!
  • Good, now I'm in the bathroom. There's no windows, just mirrors, so I'll stay here until the tornado passes over.
  • After a few minutes, it looks like the skies have cleared and Mark walks back upstairs.
  • Good. I assume there is debris, like fallen trees. We have to clean that up.
  • The tornado has passed. We're safe now. We can tell people it's okay to leave their basements now.
  • The next day...
  • Kirk, have you found any bad reports, such as fatalities or missing people?
  • No, thankfully. It looks like everyone's safe, and there's nothing more than a few minor injuries.
  • THE END
