7th grade ELA
The other students think Margot is different. She is very shy and quiet. She moved from Earth 4 years ago. She remembers and misses the sun. She is very sad by her move to Venus because it is always raining.
The children like to talk about the sun. They make paintings and poems about it. No one but Margot remember the sun, because it only comes out every 7 years. Margot saw it every day on Earth.
It is time to go outside and see the sun but the students lock Margot in a closet. The rain stops and they forget about her. They go outside to play in the outside, leaving Margot behind.
Margot yells and cries in the closet while the other kids are outside playing in the sun. She is really mad because the sun will not come back for 7 years! Then it started to rain again and the kids went back inside.
When the students come back inside, one remembers Margot. They slowly let her out of the closet. She is not talking and very sad.
