The Monster burns down the De Lacey's cottage, and advances towards Geneva to meet Victor. After, being once again deceived by the human kind and full of hatred, he meets William whom he kills as he is a Frankenstein.
The Monster demands a female companion however Victor starts by refusing as he has already killed his brother. Yet, after a lot of persuasion, Victor agrees under the condition that if he gives him a female companion, the Monster disappears into exile then.
Victor's father asks the latter to marry Elizabeth, though he is filled with "horror and dismay" when thinking of this union... He wants to create the second monster before the marriage and leaves for England with his friend Clerval.
