  • I was scolded by Ms. Caroline all because of you. It's all your fault!
  • He is just a Cunningham!
  • ...I even went up to their porch one time...
  • Calpurnia~ We have company!
  • When Scout was about to teach Walter Cunningham a good lesson, Jem interfered and invited Walter to dine with them.
  • As they walked to the Finch's, Jem made pleasant talk to Walter about his past experience with the Radley Place.
  • But..but he spilled honey all over his meal
  • Do not speak to others as you are so high and mighty!
  • By the time Walter stepped into the house, he had forgotten that he was a Cunningham. Meanwhile, Jem asked Calpurnia for an extra plate for Walter.
  • Is there really the need of Calpurnia in our house?
  • Calpurnia has done so much for us! There is no way I am firing her.
  • Atticus and Walter talked like two men, Jem and Scout were surprised. After Calpurnia handed Walter the syrup, he poured it all over his meal. That's when Scout spoke out.
  • Then Calpurnia dragged Scout into the kitchen and told her to not make comments on other folks like she's so high and mighty.
  • Scout complained Calpurnia to Atticus. Atticus told Scout that Calpurnia has done very much for their family, there is no way he's firing her. Scout learned her lesson.
