Hey mom! I learned about Theocracy today at school! Do you know anything about Theocracy?
Wow honey, that's amazing!
Well, all I know about Theocracy is the type of person who is in charge of the government. The person who is in charge is a ruler that claims to represent and be directed by a set of religious ideas! Would you mind explaining to me what Theocracy is all about?
Of course mom, i've got all the facts that you need about Theocracy! Theocracy rulers get their power from either their large supporters from the public, or they earn it from their kind actions/behavior towards the public. Theocracy laws are rooted in a particular religion or religious doctrine. Theocratic government power is unlimited.
For example, Afghanistan and Saudi Arabia are countries with a Theocratic government today!
That's so interesting, tell me more! Do you know the benefits/challenges that the people have to face?
Yup! The benefits to Theocracy are that people will follow/listen to the rulers more because whatever the rulers tell the public will be considered as the 'words from God'. Theocracy will also lead the government to become more organized.
On the other hand, the challenges are that because the laws are rooted from a religious doctrine, people's opinions will not be heard. Also, the rulers might use God's name in vain to spread their own ideas.
Thank you so much for all the information and explanation honey! Now I can explain to all my friends what Theocracy is all about!
