My therapist really helped me to understand that it doesn't mean I'm "stupid" or "dumb" just cause I don't like Math.
Sometimes, it's actually a nice thing to have extra help from my school. We all have certain things we do really well in, and other things not so well.
1) Understand the problem 2) Devise a plan 3) Carry out the plan 4) Look back
Turns out, it's much easier when the steps are written out for me on the board instead of needing to remember the directions.
I feel like my teachers really understand how to help me now! These math problems make so much more sense when it's taught this way.
