Dorothea Dix was a nurse in the Civil War through 1861-1865
She took care of every soldier on the battlefield that got injured because she believed that no person deserves to die
Dorothea Dix was born on the 14th of April in 1802 and she died on the 18th of July in 1887
I was surprised that she helped every soldier on the battlefield because I thought that she would take a side on slavery
She helped our nation because she helped us understand that no person deserves to die, no matter what they did.
One interesting fact is that they only wore black and white clothes( no bracelets, necklaces, etc.)
