Hydraulic Fracturing: The problem and potential solution.

Storyboard proposal project for video.
Hello, today I'm going to talk to you about fracking in Oklahoma, why it is a problem, and how we can attempt to fix it.
Hydraulic Fracturing, or fracking as it is commonly know, is a process of injecting high pressure fluids into the ground to fracture the shale rock deep in the earth.
This allows large amounts of normally unreachable gas to be harvested. It poses many problems, however.
It creates fractures in the earth, and awakens dormant fault lines, leading to drastic increases in earthquakes. It also pollutes ground water sources as the fracking solutions, full of acids and metals, leak through old piping.
Fortunately, many new pump, pipe, and compound technologies exist to solve these problems. Unfortunately, many companies are unwilling to adopt these techs at the expense of their bottom line. Even though many could easily afford to upgrade.
So I'm asking you, the citizens of Oklahoma, to help put pressure on these companies to upgrade. Sign petitions, and speak to your representatives able mandating these companies to upgrade, and adding fracking under the Safe Drinking Water Act. Together, we can make fracking safer and more useful to us all. Thank you for your time!
