Antigone Storyboard By: Joanna Gonzalez
Ismene and Antigone arrive to Thebes, a Greek city-state.
Creon, king of Thebes, tells the sisters both of their brothers are dead but only one (Eteocles) is buried.
Antigone begs to her uncle, Creon, for both of her brothers, Eteocles and Polyneices, to be buried. Creon bans this and allows only one brother to be buried.
Antigone goes against Creon's wishes and buries her brother Polynieces. Ismene refuses to help her.
Antigone kills herself because she believes being locked away for something she believes in is worth than death.
King Thebes is left alone and in despair when he learns Antigone has committed suicide and so has her fiancee Haemon.
