Well the arch of colours is caused by the refraction and dispersion of the suns light by rain or other water droplets
How are Rainbows made? Sir.
But i saw a double rainbow, What causes that?
The ray of sunlight bounces twice off the back interior surface of the raindrop before re emerging into the air. the second refection inverts the order of the colours. The secondary bow is much fainter than the primary and frequently cannot be seen at all.
I've heard of the electro-magnetic spectrum, are there different forms of light waves but which can get through the atmosphere?
Fortunately for us, much of the light waves from the sun is blocked by the atmosphere because some of them can be very dangerous to humans.
But there are some types of light wave we need like visible(to see) and infra-red(warmth). All life forms need light waves.
