  • This is a video on Water Safety. Teaching you how to be careful and prevent drowning when around large masses of water.
  • [Display pools, beaches etc]
  • Narration: The most common places for drowning are at beaches and pools. Firstly, the safest way to prevent drowning is to stay out of the water. If you go into the water, make sure that the water does not go past your shoulder and your feet can firmly touch the ground at all times. Also, please wear a life jacket even if you cannot swim. Waves can be very tricky and push you out very far into the water.

  • Narration: if you see or hear someone struggling or screaming for help, DO NOT go out to help them. Instead, you can be a hero and rush to call for help from a professional or a trained, responsible, capable adult. AND Remember...the best way to prevent drowning is to stay out of the water.
