  • Prendick, quit being an idiot!
  • Prendick?
  • Chapter 13
  • Don't be an ass!
  • I refuse to be another of your victims!
  • You are sorely mistaken lad.
  • Chapter 13
  • ...Ok... I'll come back
  • Moreau and Montgomery hunt for Prendick after he flees from the village of the beast folk. The beast folk also lurk through the forest.
  • Chapter 14
  • The intimacy Prendick, the intimacy.
  • Prendick threatens to drown himself rather than become another one of Moreau's test subjects. Moreau and Montgomery try to convince Prendick that he is being irrational.
  • Chapter 14
  • It is merely for the good of science lad. Pain is relative.
  • Moreau and Montgomery drop their revolvers as a show of good faith toward Prendick. Prendick eventually leaves the water and hesitantly returns with the scientists.
  • Chapter 14
  • Over dinner, Moreau and Prendick discuss the humanity of the beast folk.
  • Why? Why do they look so human?
  • Moreau tells of his trials, and why the pain of the animals is relative, and necessary for the good of science.
  • After a lengthy discussion, Moreau instructs Prendick to go to sleep after the eventful day.
  • Get some rest my boy.
