What is plucking?
Plucking is when ice beneath a glacier melts in high temperatures. The glacier moves, due to gravity, the rock frozen to the ice is PLUCKED from Earth.
What is abrasion?
Well... abrasion is when rocks are being dragged along the base of the glacier from plucking or freeze thaw. they scrape along the Earth creating FRICTION and causing the Earth to ERODE.
What is freeze thaw?
Freeze thaw is when water seeps into the cracks in the rocks. The water freezes increasing its size by 9%. Ice thaws and more water enters the crack in the rock and expands again.
