  • Louise, your husband has been in a fatal railroad accident!
  • Look how free nature is... Wait! Now that my husband is dead, I'm free as nature.
  • Brently! You are alive!
  • Introduction- Louise has been informed that her husband, Brently, has been in a fatal railroad accident.
  • Brently! You are alive!
  • What? Brently is alive, how is that possible? I'm not free anymore.
  • Rising Action- Louise observes nature and noticed that it is free, realizing she is now free.
  • What? Brently is alive, how is that possible? I'm not free anymore. Brently! You are alive!
  • Sorry but, Mrs. Mallard has died of joy!
  • Climax- Brently was far away from the accident, hence he is alive and returns home.
  • Falling Action- Louise is very confused and disillusioned that she is not free anymore.
  • Resolution- Louise dies. The doctor said it was from joy, but it was from the surprise that her husband is alive and she is still not free like nature.
