There should be some negroes in this league if I didn't give up on starting a negro league.
I don't know about this. We already said no and now 3 years later you come back in and demand something. I'm sorry but it's just too late Mr.Foster.
I am here demanding that you give people like Jackie next to me, a great upcoming young player a chance to play the sport he loves.
Rube Foster is very disappointed after watching an all white baseball game. He realizes that he had the opportunity to keep persevering and start the league but gave up.
Foster is kneeling on the pitchers mound crying because he realizes that no negro will play baseball on this field and it is all his fault. He looks at the retired numbers and sees all white players. He feels like he needs to do something.
After Foster thinks it over about what to do, he decides to go into a late night meeting and demands the league. He brings in top negro prospect, Jackie Robinson to help show how much they want this league.
