  • Prologue
  • I'm going to bury him!
  • Sister, please don't. You will die!
  • Scene One
  • Someone buried Polyneices!
  • Bring them to justice or you will die!
  • This is the woman who buried him!
  • Scene Two
  • I am unafraid. I accept death.
  • Antigone why did you do this?
  • Prologue: Antigone tells her sister Ismene that she is going to bury Polyneices. Ismene is not on board with this idea and decides aginst helping Antigone bury their brother.
  • Scene Three
  • Why must you kill her father?
  • She has broken the law, and will now be locked in a stone vault and starve to death!
  • Scene One: In scene one, Creon tells the chorus that whoever tries to bury Polynecies will be stoned to death. Later, Creon receives word from the sentry that someone has attempted to bury Polyneices. Creon lashes out on the sentry and tells him if he does not bring the person who did his to justice, he will be killed.
  • Scene Four
  • Had father not died I would'nt be going away to this vault to die.
  • Scene Two: In scene two, the sentry brings Antigone to Creon and tells Creon that she is the one who has buried Polyneices. As soon as Creon hears this news, Creon asks why Antigone has done this and had she heard of the punishment that came with this. Antigone replies as if she is unafraid and will accept death!
  • Scene 5 and Exodos
  • What have I done? My mistakes have killed everybody close to me!
  • Scene Three: In Scene Three, Creon's son Haemon comes into the palace of his father to tell him what the townspeople have been saying about the execution of Antigone and if she really needs to be killed. Creon then takes this the wrong way and thinks that Haemon is trying to save his bride. This turns into an all out argument and then Creon announces that Antigone will be locked in a stone vault and starve to death.
  • Scene Four: In Scene Four, the guards are taking away Antigone to the stone vault where she will die. In this scene she thinks about how none of these events would have occurred had her father not died.
  • Scene 5 & Exodos: In this scene, the blind prophet Teirasis comes to Creon to tell him nothing has been the same since he sent Antigone away to die and that unless he releases her, the Gods will curse him and his family. Later on, Creon goes to the cave to find his son Haemon and Antigone have both died. When he returns to the palace he tells his wife who then kills herself. creon finally notices he has done wrong, but it is far too late.
