These are the three generals of the Roman Republic. They are in a triumvirate which is a political partnership of three people. An easy way to remember this word is like a trio.
This is Pompey.
Hi,its 60 B.C. and we are the First Triumvirate!
This is Julius Caesar.
This is Crassus.
Sadly, by 50 B.C. First Triumvirate died and along with it so did Crassus. He died in battle. Also Pompey and Caesar began to dispute over who would be ruler. In 49 B.C., the Senate sided with Pompey and ordered Caesar out to Rome.
Senators thought that Caesar was too popular and they ordered him to give up his army. Julius didn't give up so quickly and he along with his faithful soldiers captured all of Italy.
They drove Pompey 's forces out of the country. The battle spread also eastward. Julius's army finally defeated Pompey's entire armed forces in Greece in 48 B.C.
Now everything in Rome is all mine!
In 44 B.C., Julius made himself dictator for life and made all of the those that supported him Senators. In that same year, he was brutally stabbed to death by Cassius and Brutus.
March 15th, 44 B.C.
During Caesar's life, he accomplished so much like creating a new calculator accompanied by an astronomer.
