  • VIctory at Yorktown
  • The Declaration of Independence
  • Battle at Bunkerhill
  • Victory at Yorktown was the last major battle at the Revolutionary War. At this time, the British surrendered and gave up all their weapons. Both sides signed the Treaty of Paris which ended the Revolutionary war.
  • Thomas Jefferson was the main author of the Declaration of Independence. All of the authors wanted the basic rights such as life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. The main idea was for all men to posses unalienable rights.
  • The battle in Bunkerhill demonstrated that colonists could fight against the Bristish. The colonists were in need of cannons and weapons. Washington arranged that cannons be brought to scare the British.
