The training provided is 14 to 27 weeks of classroom instruction including practices and principles of Military nursing.
We assist physicians during surgery. We also change bandages and dressings. We help physicians treat patients.
Our opportunities for advancement are that we may become directors of nursing in hospitals or advance to senior health service management positions.
We make about $46,922.40. I can be an officer in the Air Force, Army, Coast Guard, and Navy.
Some interesting facts is that we provide life support treatment for patients needing emergency care. We give injections of painkillers, antibiotics, and other medicines as prescribed by physicians. We also provide care for mental health patients.
