  • At the beginning of the book nailer finds himself working on a salvaging team for work. The setting is very dark in a abandoned boat and stormy weather is very rapid and occurring, Rusted Ships dripping with oil and water,
  • One flaw that nailer has at the beginning of the book is that he doesn't not have many trustworthy friends on his crew which leads to sloth betraying him.
  • Nailed and his father and others live in a slum area that suffers hard From storms and floods a lot his father is a drunk and his mother isn't present or talked of.
  • The antagonist in the book at the beginning is sloth she betrays nailer by leaving him in the oil but later I feel like the boss of the company is the antagonist because of how the working conditions he puts them through.
