I wish that when I grow up I may be able to fly one of those!
Must... not... stop... can't... let ... them... get... me.
Yasha Gregorovich lived with his small family in the tiny village of Estrov, Russia. He dreamed of one day becoming a helicopter pilot, but he was so poor this was a long shot.
Sadly, one day anthrax spores contaminated the village, and government troopers were sent to kill all of the villagers. However, Yasha had an anthrax vaccination and escaped through the forest.
Yassen! Get me more lemonade, useless fool!
Yasha ran to Kirsk, a larger town, and hopped on a train to Moscow, buying the ticket using pickpocketed money and his late parents' savings. Sitting on the train, he wondered what life would be like now.
Rykov is only here to fix the engine.
In Moscow, he joined a gang and began a life of stealing from apartments. Too bad he was caught in a risky operation. Trying to defend himself, he threw a knife but missed. Yasha was captured by the man.
The man, Vladimir Sharkovsky, brought Yasha to his estate and made Yasha his servant. Sharkovsky also changed Yasha's name into Yassen. Yassen made bitter enemies with Sharkovsky's son Ivan.
Sharkovsky also had a another worker, a helicopter pilot. Yassen looked up to the pilot, Arkady Zelin, but Zelin always ignored Yassen. One day, Zelin brought in an old man named Rykov to fix the engine.
