Storyboard Text

  • Symbolism
  • Who are you?
  • Oh are you the ghost that was foretold to come to me?
  • I am here to guide you through your past to show you that your past wasn't that bad.
  • I am the Ghost of Christmas Past!
  • Symbolism
  • Spirit take me away from this place.
  • This is where you will live forever if you don't listen to my warning
  • Symbolism
  • Quick!
  • My time grows short.
  • Scrooge is seeing the Ghost of Christmas past for the first time after the visit from Marley's ghost. He is also a little frightened when the Ghost of Christmas Past pulls back the side curtain of Scrooge's bed, because Scrooge sees the ghost's hand.
  • Internal Conflict
  • This is when the Ghost of Christmas Past is showing Scrooge his eternal fate if he didn't listen to the Ghost of Christmas Past's warning to become more jolly instead of being stingy because then he will live a bad rest of his life and have no one that cares about him.
  • Theme
  • I remember this place, this is where I lived as a boy.
  • Do you know that lonely boy in the School
  • This symbolizes when the Ghost of Christmas Past has to get Scrooge to the next scene because it is almost time for the Ghost to leave and for the next ghost to arrive.
  • Indirect Characterization
  • Haunt me no longer Spirit.
  • Scrooge was having a hard time accepting that Belle has moved on to another man. And he is regretting the way he treated her when they were together.
  • No more! No more! I don't wish to see it. Sow me no more!
  • Show me no more! Conduct me home. Why do you delight to torture me?
  • One shadow more!
  • This is where the Ghost of Christmas Past shows Scrooge his lonely past as a boy. When Scrooge was left at school while his other friends went home for Christmas. Scrooge couldn't come home because his parents couldn't afford to get him home for Christmas.
  • Yes it was me when I was a boy, I had to stay at school because my parents couldn't afford to bring me home for Christmas.
  • This is when Scrooge put the extinguisher cap on the Ghost of Christmas Past to try and get rid of the Ghost's presence. This does get rid of the ghost. And this shows indirect characterization by showing Scrooge being stingy by extinguishing the ghost.
