Storyboard Text

  • President Carter welcomes President Anwar Sadat from Egypt and Prime Minister Menachem Begin from Israel to Camp David. The two men asked President Carter to facilitate their attempt at agreeing to peace.
  • I appreciate both of you agreeing to join me today.
  • CAMP DAVID
  • At first, President Carter was upset because he did not know how he was going to be able to control all of their fighting.

  • GUYS! ENOUGH!
  • $!&*#
  • After using his magical powers, President Carter was able to calm the two men down and they came to an agreement in a peaceful way.
  • With President Carter's facilitation powers, Egypt and Israel signed the Israel-Egypt Peace Treaty. This treaty would not have happened without the Camp David Accords.
  • In 1978, President Anwar Sadat from Egypt and Prime Minister Menachem Begin from Israel were awarded the Nobel Peace Prize because of their agreement to end turmoil between the two countries.
  • President Carter did not win a Nobel Peace Prize in 1978, but he did go to sleep feeling like Superman because of his ability to save the world (or at least part of it).
  • What would the world do without me?
