  • Henry Clay
  • Andrew Jackson
  • Win by a landslide
  • Andrew Adams has 14 house votes, which is the most so far.
  • I won the Popular vote, but I still need to win the house vote.
  • Then I will have to "persuade" them into voting for me
  • mudslinging
  • John Quincy Adams is actually a very trustworthy person, and I would want him as our nation's president
  • John Quincy Adams is a liar, cheater, and he stinks. Do you really want him as your country's leader?
  • Henry Clay, Andrew Jackson, and John Quincy Adams were the nation's favorite sons, meaning their home states supported them rather than the national party.
  • Jackson wins the votes
  • BOOO!!
  • Our new president, winning with 17 states, is Andrew Jackson!
  • Although Jackson clearly won the Popular vote, he still had to win the House vote. In the 1824 election, a method called mudslinging was used to make fun of someone's competitors.
  • Voting to all (men)
  • From this year on, all men, whether landowning, or sharecropping, can vote.
  • Mudslinging was, and is still, used by presidential candidates to make humiliate the other candidates, and convince people to vote for them.
  • The tariff of abominations
  • This country needs a tariff to increase our trade wealth
  • Andrew Jackson won 17 out of the 24 states, and clearly won the popular vote.
  • Andrew Jackson
  • YAY!!
  • After the Election of 1824 and 1828, all men, whether landowning, sharecropping, can vote.
  • Now I can vote even though I am just renting land!
  • Although I don's own Land, I can finally vote!
  • Andrew Jackson Wants to create a tariff to increase America's trade wealth, but the tariff helped the north, but hurt the south.
  • I'm from the south and tariffs are bad for us because they limit our trade with Europe.
  • I'm from the north, and tariffs are good because they lower our prices, so people will buy from us
