Theseus saw how the Athenians were angry and volunteered to slay the Minotaur. Theseus father did not want his son to slay the Minotaur because of the dangers. Theseus promised to have the Minotaur slain.
  • Symbolism
  • The vessel took off and were set on their way to Crete to restore peace after slaying Androgeos. Then were going to Labyrinth to slay to the Minotaur. The king's daughters Ariadne saw Theseus and was love at first sight. She secretly went onto the ship liked the other maidens. In joy of going home, Thesus forgot to change the dismal sail of mourning. When they sailed the died. The king finds out and throws himself into the black sails and dies.
  • Theme
  • For symbolism in the Minotaur would be how Theseus had to tie rope to himself to get to through the Minotaur's maze. The rope represented a life-line on how to make it through and out of the maze. This impacted the story, without the rope Theseus would have been lost in the maze. Ariadne thought of the idea and succeed. Unfortunately Theseus forgot to cast the right sails and all the hard work was for nothing.
  • rope
  • A motif for the Minotaur would be how the Minotaur would be referenced as danger and quite scary. People were selected to fight off the Minotaur and were scared to hearing of him as half-man and half-bull. This impacted the passage because villagers were scared to get chosen. When chosen they would have to fight off the Minotaur and take care of the warriors. Luckily Theseus stepped up and fought the Minotaur.
  • Yeah he's quite scary!
  • Did you hear about the MINOTAUR?!
  • The theme or central message in the Minotaur is that heroism comes with a price. When Theseus volunteered to slay the Minotaur he knew it would be a risky move. When slayed the Minotaur leaving the island Theseus forgot to cast the sail and foolishly had forgotten and passed away. The price of it is mistakes will happen. You have glory and fame but it doesn't last for long.
