1960's Dear Diary, Today I herd about a student and her family getting cheated at a store for buying something that they didn't fully pay yet. When I saw Melba and her family at the store I felt awful in my stomach. I wanted to give them my money to them, but I didn't want them to get into more trouble. All I want is to interpret whites and blacks. And it is all the cause of The Brown vs. Bored of Education.
September 2, Labor Day Dear Diary, If I was here in this house I would be scared to death. If someone told me this and I was in this same situation I would go crazy and walk right up to the governor and tell him "he can't do that to us." But if you think about it the consequences to go into the white school like people wanting to kill you and say bad things to you would make me feel unsafe.
September 19,1957 Dear diary, Today was the day the town of settlement fades as the Governor faces court. As I was listening and looking around I saw many journalists from all about the world, and this made me feel overwhelmed and surprised to see how many people cared about this problem. When Melba spoke telling everyone that " everyone has a right to go to that school." This made me feel proud and happy for her to stand up for what is right.
