Storyboard Text

  • Title
  • Paraphrase
  • Connotations
  • The title is "Chicago" so the picture represents the city of Chicago. That is what I predicted the story to be about.
  • Attitude
  • He first talks about how horrible the city is, but then talks about how even though it isn't the best city, it is his city and he loves it.
  • Title
  • There is a lot of imagery used in the story. One of the imagery used that stuck out to me was stormy.
  • Theme
  • The author's attitude is patriotism. He has a lot of patriotism for his city. The flag represents this patriotism.
  • Looking at the title again, it is still about Chicago, but what it really means to him. It is his Chicago not the Chicago we see.
  • The theme is love of one's hometown. He says that even though the city is not the best and has bad qualities to it, he is from there so it means something to him.
  • Chicago
