  • Welcome to New York's Journal. It is a basic day at work.
  • This is William Randolph Hearst. He is a Journalist. But he has a problem.
  • His problem is Joseph Pulitzer. A journalist of New York's World. New York's Journal's rival. They were always competing with each other till one day.
  • That's great new we can use that to gain more readers.
  • Sir The Maine has exploded!
  • Sir, The Maine has exploded
  • They aren't really sure, but they think it was a malfunction in the ship.
  • So how did The Maine explode?
  • Well we have to make it more interesting for the readers.
  • If that is what they think then that is what we will report.
  • New York Journal Remember The Maine!
  • The Maine sunk yesterday by what was thought to be a mine left by Spain!
  • So they each wrote an artical on the Maine, and belived the New York Journal, because they found the story more intresting. The End.
  • The Maine has sunk. Killing 254 seamen. The cause is still unknown.
  • New York World The Maine Sunk!
