Join Me and the conspirators to get rid of mighty Caesar, But we must get Brutus to join, we need him the most.
Marcullus and Flavius who supported pompey attempt to discourage celebrating workers of Caesars triumph. Marcullus and flavius ask about their professions and what they are up to. Marcullus point out that rather than celebrating his victory, but to get on their knees and pray for the evil about to come this way. "Run to your houses, fall upon your knees, and pray for the gods to intermit the plague// that needs must light on this ingratitude." (I:i:ln 54-56)
Antony offers the crown to Caesar three times, Caesar refused all three times as the crowd cheers wildly relieved Caesar refused. It was hard on Caesar and he has an epileptic seizure. "He fell down in the market place, and foamed at mouth, and was speechless." (I:ii:ln 252-253) Caesar then stood up before the crowd and threatened to cut his throat, instead Caesar blamed his behavior on his sickness.
Casca runs to Cicero breathless and all shaken up. "I have seen tempests, when the scolding winds have rived, and the knotty oaks, and I have seen Th' ambitious oceans swell and rage foam..." (I:iii:ln 3-5) Cicero believes it is the gods that are raining their fury. Cassius enters and plans to murder Caesar. Casca joins the conspirators starting at the old theater. Cassius and the conspirators agree that they need Brutus to join.
