Storyboard Text

  • Under what circumstances do people take risks?
  • People are more inclined to take risks while in a group and amongst friends. Risks are often taken out of boredom and usually one person is the instigator.
  • Let's do something, I'm bored.
  • Yeah, let's do something fun!
  • The Shop
  • Sure guys, what do you want to do?
  • Teenage boys are most susceptible to situational peer pressure. They want to fit into a group of friends and will often show off to gain approval.
  • Are you sure this is a good idea? We could get in trouble...
  • How about we go in here and steal some candy?
  • The Shop
  • Good thinking I'm starving! You have to come with us, unless you're scared?
  • With little refusal, they partake in the "fun" without paying much attention to the possibility of getting in trouble. A lot of times these risks break the law.
  • C'mon grab all the candy you can and shove it into the bag!
  • Let's move quick, you stand guard.
  • Guys someone's coming. We have to go!
  • For a little bit of "fun," and to portray the ideal of a cool guy, these three teenagers broke the law. Each teen based their decisions of their friends' actions and opinions instead of thinking for themselves and doing what they know is right.
  • I knew this would happen...
  • STOP RIGHT NOW!
  • HAND OVER THE BAGS!
  • Risks are taken with the help of social influence. Many people change their their attitudes and values just to fit in. Falling under the control of peer pressure almost always leads to trouble.
