i grew up in the hood as a brown kid in downtown indy. when i was little i wanted to be a humanitarian because all around me was chaos and i wanted to better the lives of those around me. if i didnt expeince this thinking i wouldve been heartless and un caring. this is similar to marji she wanted to better the lives of others and so did i. howver she grew up richer than me.
marji grew up well off with a maid. however this didnt make her spoiled it humbled her. marji wanted to be a profit to better the lives of those around her because they did not have the same things she did. for example marji wanted to be a profit because the maid had to eat seperatly and she thought that was unfair.if marji did not have this thought she wouldve been spoiled.
to educate herself marji had to understand everything. starting with herslef so she threw herself into reading. she read "the second sex!" she explained that if a woman peed standing up their perception of life would change. marji learned that before she earned how to be like a man she needed to learn how to become a liberated and emancipated woman. if this diddnt happen marji wouldnt of grew up
