  • In 1975, Mandela decided to write the story of his life. He slept for only a few hours as he wrote for most of the night

  • Winnie Mandela was one of the black leaders in the march, and she was arrested in 1976.
  • in 1960, the government forced more than 6 million africans to move from their homes to the Bantustans, where there was nor enough land for them to grow food
